Welcome to the latest edition of the Growling Frog Golf Course Email Newsletter.

The Growling Frog is a public course for the whole community with programs for golfers at any level, and Café and restaurant facilities open to all. With spring now upon us, why not enjoy the fresh air and sunshine whilst enjoying a day at the course.

Located only 15 minutes from Bundoora in Melbourne’s north, you can experience the magnificent, peaceful setting of the course, with the Great Dividing Range as your back drop. For a day away from it all, that’s not far from home, visit us at The Frog.

The Course in Spring

With spring now upon us make the most of the longer, sunnier days with a round of golf at The Frog. You will notice some changes on the course during the following months as the couch grass comes out of dormancy which will provide premium playing surfaces over the coming summer period.

Our golf course is irrigated with recycled water ensuring excellent playing conditions all year round, especially during the warmer months.

Golf Tips from The Pro

1. Golfers should not overdo trying to keep their head down at all times.



2. Golfers should not overdo the straightness of the left arm.



3. Golfers should never try to point their feet or body at the target, instead the club head should be aimed directly at the target.



4. Weight distribution: ensure during the golf swing that your weight is moving with the club.



5. Golfers need to have a clear understanding of their golf swing and how it best works for them.
